Des chercheurs du Minnesota travaillent présentement à la création d’une carte, fruit de recherches dans les archives sur les différents toponymes de la rivière connue aujourd’hui sous le nom de « Camp Creek ». En collaboration avec le Grand Portage Band of Chippewa et 1854 Treaty Authority, ce travail de recherche vise avant tout à restituer le noms des lieux en ojibwemowin qui ont été oubliés avec le temps.
